Soon to be Morehouse graduate Joshua Norris shot classmate Rashad Johnson 3 times at a 2007 Halloween party. Not only is he not given any jail time, he is being allowed to graduate from Morehouse to receive his diploma. His surviving victim, Rashad Johnson, is not allowed to do so nor was any explanation given by Morehouse.
The plea arrangement saved at least 20 years of the life of Norris, let alone the matriculation into a brighter future with his degree. The district attorney that constructed the plea deal for Norris has resigned. The chief district attorney Paul Howard is mystified by the agreement as well as how it happened to slip by him. The judge who went along, in spite of his misgivings, is still on the bench.
