A dog in Japan steadfastly guards his dog friend who is apparently injured in the aftermath of the quake. It took quite a lot of convincing on the part of rescuers to get him to leave the side of his injured friend.

Well, what can I say? Too many times animals are better than humans. This dog took the best care he could of his wounded friend. It seems to illustrate just how much being there for someone, human or animal, can make all the difference in the world. In all of the stories of beautiful human courage in adversity, its good to see the animals highlighted too.

I'm glad that the dogs seem to have been rescued. I hope they are reunited. Go animal kingdom!

Okay, I'll stop crying now and get back to working on my taxes. I wish I had a friend to guard me while wrangling with the tax code.
